Holding On to the Invisible – Siril Malmedal Hauge & Kjetil Mulelid Release First Single from "I Remember Oranges"
6.3.2026 08:50:00 CET | Sounds Like Gold | Press release
Today, the first single from Siril Malmedal Hauge and Kjetil Mulelid’s new album I Remember Oranges will be released. The single, Where Will You Go, written by Siril Malmedal Hauge, opens the door to a musical landscape marked by intimacy, nostalgia, and vibrant interplay.

Where Will You Go is about holding on to moments and memories that continue to exist in the unseen, even after reality has set its limits. A touch without a body that continues to breathe in the invisible. About the past gently walking beside us, even as we wish to move forward. The song unfolds an inner landscape where memories drift in and out of consciousness, colored by what once was and what is still felt.
“What if
I could recreate your touch
with imaginary things”
The album I Remember Oranges grows out of a desire to capture the living and unfiltered, music as it arises in the room. After years of extensive touring both in Norway and internationally, the duo has cultivated a close and intuitive interplay, qualities they now place at the center of this new recording. Featuring selected takes of original compositions as well as a few carefully chosen favorites by other artists, most of the tracks were recorded live in a single take and selected based on their overall atmosphere and presence.
The title I Remember Oranges is borrowed from the beautiful song by Molly Drake. “It’s a title we feel ties together the album’s themes, reflections on memory, experience, love, connection, and being fully present in the moment,” says Siril.

In recent years, Siril Malmedal Hauge and Kjetil Mulelid have established themselves as strong voices in the Norwegian music scene, with extensive touring, Spellemann Award (Norwegian Grammy) nominations, and critically acclaimed releases praised by international press. Together and individually, they have emerged as distinctive artists of their generation. They have collaborated in various constellations since 2013 and have performed at festivals and clubs throughout Norway, including through Siril’s solo projects.
Their duo collaboration began in autumn 2022, and since then they have continued to develop their musical interplay, shared references, and artistic energy through performances in Norway, Romania, France, Portugal, South Korea, China, and Japan.
